Happy New Year!

With this letter, I cordially invite you to the 127th meeting of the Insulated Conductors Committee. I look forward to working with all of you as we go to a new location - the Sheraton Music City Hotel in Nashville, TN!

Please note that the hotel block closes in just over 6 weeks on February 17, 2010, however it will close sooner if the rooms book up. So please make your reservations soon.

Educational Program

Attention Presenters: Guidelines for Presentation Material Published in PES – ICC Minutes

NEW!  0.4 CEUs will be offered for this session.  You must register in order to receive CEUs.  (Please note, in order to receive these credits towards a Florida PE License, you MUST provide Thomas Arnold with your FL PE License number prior to the session.


We have completed our new website,, and we are offering you the opportunity to register on-line and to pay using a credit card. Please note that the use of credit cards is only available during the pre-registration period. On-Line Registration will be open from Monday, February 15 through Friday, March 12.
We encourage you to register on-line even if you do not plan to pay with a credit card. The option to register and mail a check or to pay on-site with cash or check is also available with on-line registration.
The new website can be used by everyone, both members and guests, and will speed registration for everyone.  Pre-registration will save you time and hassle when you arrive, as your nametag will be ready and waiting for you.

Historical ICC Minutes NEW!  Historical ICC Meeting Minutes DVD – For the first time ever, we are offering for sale a DVD containing the ICC Meeting Minutes from the very first meeting in 1947 through Spring 2008.  All of the minutes contained on this DVD are in Adobe Acrobat PDF format and are searchable either from within Acrobat Reader or using the Windows search engine.  The DVD is available for purchase during registration.
Mini-Expo The Spring meeting will feature a Mini-Expo for vendors to make table top displays of equipment and services related to the scope of the ICC. You can sign up for a table top display using the meeting Registration form. A list of exhibitors can be found here.  Guidelines on displays can be found here.

A special note for any exhibitor that will be shipping to the hotel.  This meeting's hotel has very strict policies on packages.  All packages should be labeled as follows:

New Member Orientation First Meeting? Want to know more about the ICC? Please attend the Orientation Session on Sunday afternoon. There are many different sessions at ICC meetings and they cover a multitude of subjects related to insulated conductors. Information presented at Orientation will help you find the sessions that are of most interest to you.
Hotel Information

The meeting will be held at the Sheraton Music City Hotel in Nashville, TN.  Our block will close as soon as it’s full. Please note that the ICC is committed to a minimum occupancy. To help the ICC avoid a hefty penalty, please consider staying at the Sheraton.

Room rate is exclusive of applicable state and local taxes, which are currently 15.25% plus a $2.00 per night city assessment. No resort fee will be charged. These rates will be offered three days prior and three days after the meeting dates, based on availability, until the designated cut off date of 2/17/2010, or the hotel reaches 85% occupancy. These rates include self-parking, use of the fitness center, wireless internet access in public areas, and use of the Business Center.
The hotel is very near the Nashville airport, and a shuttle operates daily from 5:30 am until 11:00 pm.

Tourist Information Airport – The nearest airport is Nashville International Airport (BNA).  The hotel airport shuttle operates daily from 5:30 am until 11:00 pm.

The hotel’s airport shuttle departs the Sheraton Music City Hotel on the hour and the half-hour when requested at the front desk or called from the airport. It arrives at the airport 15 minutes prior to the hour and 15 minutes after the hour upon request.

The Sheraton suggests that the guest call the hotel from the baggage claim area at the phone bank (button #46). The hotel operator will inform you to go down one level from baggage claim to the hotel shuttle level.
