Preliminary list of Technical Presentations (updated 09/05/2003)

An invitation letter from ICC Chairman Ken Bow (updated 7/25/2003)
Chairman Ken Bow has posted a clarification on registration at the T&D show which impacts Exhibitors and IEEE Life Members and Retired ICC Members. It is a MUST READ for those individuals. His note also provides an update on registration at the ICC Conference Hotel, the Adams Mark.

Special Notice - ICC Policy on Signs to be Waived for the Joint ICC/T&D Meeting

Long time ICC attendees are probably aware of the policies in place to limit commercialism at ICC meetings. One facet of the referenced guidelines seeks to limit commercialism by prohibiting signs at ICC meetings. After some discussion, your Officers have recognized that our hotel will likely be shared by ICC related and non-ICC related vendors and that the convention center facilities will not be under the usual ICC rules. Therefore, the ICC will not enforce the vendor sign policy for this meeting. However, technical presentations must still meet the provisions for non-commercialism in the Guideline document linked above.

To ICC Veterans and Guests:

Now you can experience the benefits of the IEEE T and D Conference & Exposition AND the benefits of an Insulated Conductors Committee Meeting – ALL IN ONE TRIP! For the second time, the ICC is holding our Fall Committee meeting in conjunction with the IEEE T and D Conference and Exposition. With the good feedback from the last meeting, the T&D committee has made several significant changes to reduce the number of conflicts with the ICC meeting. Also the ICC headquarters hotel is the Adam’s Mark (see the hotel update below). All ICC meetings will be held there.

Why?

That’s easy to answer. Those who normally attend the ICC, but rarely have the opportunity to experience the activities of the T and D Conference, can now do both. It also gives T and D Conference attendees who are interested in cables, but are not familiar with the ICC, the opportunity to experience first hand what the ICC has to offer. Note: All T&D Conference attendees, including all ICC attendees, MUST register using the T and D registration form and MUST pay the registration fees as indicated on this form. ICC will not have a separate registration. You can register online! Go to http://www.ieeet-d.org/

Please note the following (Updated 7/25/2003): The T and D conference registration fee must be paid by all ICC attendees except Exhibitors to register for both the ICC meeting and the T and D conference and Exposition.  The registration fee to T and D covers all the costs of the ICC meeting including coffee breaks, transnational lunch and education lunch.  These events will be free to attendees of the ICC meeting.  The registration fee also covers our administration expenses with the hotel. The meeting minutes are a separate issue. The ICC registration fee of $35.00 on the T and D registration form accounts for the attendees at our meeting and covers the cost of our minutes

As a point of clarification, if you have an Exhibitor's Registration Badge you do not need to have a full conference registration to attend the ICC meeting.  Some of the ICC members are attending as Exhibitors through their company and this registration is sufficient to attend the ICC meeting.  However, if you have an Exhibitor's badge and want the ICC minutes, you will need to pay your $35.00 to Bill Taylor at the meeting (not through the T and D form because that form is for the full conference attendees).  Please e-mail me if you are attending as an Exhibitor so we can keep our attendance records up to date.

Any retired (and not working) ICC member who only wants to attend the ICC meeting, please e-mail me.  If you are a life member of IEEE, you have free registration for T and D and ICC.  Life members should use the T and D registration form.

How will it work?

This year the Exposition will be open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
