SC-7 - Fall 1995

Fred Koch, Chairman, Power Services and Equipment, and Torben Aabo, Vice-Chairman, Power Cable Consultants, Inc., reported that the Cable Supply Systems Committee met on Wednesday November 8, 1995 at 1:30PM with 82 members and guests in attendance. There were two special presentations, which are summarized in Appendix 7 of the printed minutes.

• Sven Helge Poulsen of NKT Engineering reported on project that will connect Copenhagen to a 420 kV aerial system via a 22 km 420 kV XLPE cable system.
  
•  Jay Williams of Power Delivery Consultants gave a presentation on Distributed Cable Temperature Monitoring Using Fiber Optics.
