PES-ICC Awards Luncheon - Spring 1992

The Spring 1992 ICC Awards Luncheon was held on April 28, 1992, from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. It was attended by 146 members and guests, and was chaired by Charles White who opened the event by thanking the following local organizers from B.C. Hydro and Powertech:

• Don Johnston of B.C. Hydro
• Joseph Jue of B.C. Hydro
• Allen MacPhail of B.C. Hydro
• Harry Orton of PowerTech

He also thanked Jennifer Mozdziak, of the University of Connecticut, for her contributions to the registration.

Harry Orton introduced the luncheon speaker, Mr. Don Swoboda, VP Production, B.C. Hydro Co. A transcript of Mr. Swoboda's talk is reproduced as Appendix B-1 of the printed minutes.

Charles White thanked Mr. Swoboda and turned the meeting over to Lauri Hiivala, who announced the following awards:

• William A. Thue received his IEEE Fellow certificate,
• Charlie von Herrmann and Bruce Bernstein were recognized for having received IEEE Fellowships.
• ICC Distinguished Services Award was presented to Joseph H. Snow.
