February 18, 2018 - Spring 2018 Special Spouse's Activity

As part of the spouses activities, on Monday, May 7, 2018, a tour of Tucson, The Old Pueblo and Sabino Canyon with lunch has been scheduled .  The cost will be $60.00 per person and pre-registration will be required as the number of participants must be guaranteed.   More details are available on the Spring 2018 Meeting Page.

February 1, 2018 - Spring 2018 Meeting Registration Dates

Online Registration for the Spring 2018 ICC Meeting will open on Monday, April 2nd, and close on Friday, April 27th.

January 26, 2018 - Welcome New ICC Officers

With a new year, we have a new slate of officers at the top of the ICC.  Frank Frentzas has completed his two year term as Chair of the ICC, and will now step into the Immediate Past Chair role.  Let us all extend a thank you to Frank for his leadership, as well as Past Chair Thomas Champion who has completed his two years as “Immediate Past Chair”.
Congratulations to Rusty Bascom on taking over as Chair of the ICC, and Henk Geene on stepping up to Vice Chair/Treasurer. Several other leadership changes have taken place since Fall Meeting. 
Long time Standards Coordinator John Merando has stepped back into the Assistant Standards Coordinator role, and Gary Clark has stepped up to be Standards Coordinator.
Najwa Abouhassan has taken the role of Assistant Recording Secretary.  Thank you to Carl Wentzel for filling that role for the last year.

December 6, 2017 - Fall 2017 Meeting Awards

As usual, a number of awards were given out at the Fall 2017 meeting.  Special for this meeting, was the awarding of the ICC Distinguished Service Award to Bill Taylor!  If you didn't get to at the Fall meeting, take a moment to congratulate Bill and all the other award recipients (listed here) next time you see or speak to them!

December 5, 2017 - Budgeting for Spring 2018 Meeting

The Spring 2018 meeting page has been updated with two important pieces of information, to assist you in budgeting for next spring's meeting in Tucson, Arizona.  A link has been added to a spreadsheet of the registration costs for the Spring meeting, and the ICC contract rate for the J.W. Marriot has been posted.

December 4, 2017 - Pictures from Fall 2017 Meeting

ICC Photographer Tom Champion has done a great job for us over the last few years taking pictures at each meeting, and we have implemented a new way to share them.  The ICC now has an Instagram account, @insulatedconductors.  Pictures are in the process of being posted to that account, and will also be available in a gallery on the Fall 2017 meeting page of our new "beta" website.  Feel free to take a look around what will soon be our new website.

October 17, 2017 - Working Group Agenda's and Guidebook

Don't forget to use the Guidebook app for up to date agenda's including working and discussion group's like WG B09 Guide for the Evaluation of Solvents Used for Cleaning Electrical Cables and Accessories and DG C37 on Submarine Cables.  Guidebook is avaible in most smartphone "app stores".  Details are available on the Fall 2017 Meeting page.

August 1, 2017 - Passing of Bill Thue

William ThueIt is with sadness that we share news of the passing of Bill Thue, who died peacefully at his home in London on July 12th.  Bill was 93.  A private funeral is planned for August 9, and a Memorial Service is planned for April 28, 2018 in London.  Bill was a past Chair of ICC, an IEEE Fellow, and the recipient of the ICC Distinguished Service Award in 1985.
