Minutes:
1. The meeting was opened by the group chairman Mohamed Chaaban. He reminded all participants about the formal procedure and timeline. Until then all parts of the Guide have to be reviewed and agreed upon.
2. Since the group status has been changed from discussion to working the participants were informed about the requirements regarding copyrights.
3. Discussion about each part of the Guide:
a. Agreed on dividing the Guide on 2 sections.
b. Dave Purnhagen requested description of different sensor locations for discrete and distributed measurements.
c. Dave Purnhagen and Forest Rong suggested adding in section 3 the difference between distributed and discrete sensors.
d. Sudhakar Cherukupalli requested adding more warning on the discrete sensors.
e. There was a proposal to include a sample of specification in our guide. Sudhakar Cherukupalli agreed to prepare a presentation as a base for further discussion for the next meeting.
f. Discussed contents of appendices
i. What to include as a spec: measuring unit only or measuring unit plus fiber or entire system.
ii. Discrete units – discussion evolved if these should be included in our system specification or not as it is well known to the engineering.
4. Data handling – discussed adding this subject to the Guide. A proposal should be prepare for the next meeting.
