Work Group 7-41 met on Monday November 8, 1993 with 18 people in attendance. The working group discussed the progress on the 1993 Transmission Cable Operations Report. The 1993 issue will be delayed until more data can be incorporated into the document: currently, there is very little new data from the previous issue. Interest was expressed in sending the currently recorded data back to the utilities so that they can verify that the data has been recorded correctly. Subscribers to the TCOR report also requested that the "personalized data searches" be provided when needed.
Based on a list of utilities which previously subscribed to the TCOR report or provided data, a portion of this list was assigned to working group members to solicit data for future reports.
The latest version of the TCORDATA computer program was demonstrated and discussed. Attendees indicated that the program should allow users to verify the data which has been entered prior to saving the information. Utilities also desire the ability for reviewing the data which has been entered for their own record keeping. Some people indicated that they had trouble installing the program on computers which used Windows on a network. A special version was made available as needed to address this problem. The working group members desired to have the old EEI data made available in electronic format. This will be considered and evaluated for the spring 1994 meeting.
