Officers

Scope:

Systems of insulated conductors and their required facilities for use in electric power generating stations and substations. Included are design; installation; operation; repair and preventative maintenance. Also, included are considerations of special requirements for joining, terminating, containment penetrations, shielding, grounding, manufacturer identification, fire protection and cable environments.

Mission Statement:

The Station Cable Systems Subcommittee's mission is to continually advance the understanding and improve the application of insulated conductors within electric power generating stations and substations. Coordination with Energy Development and Power Generation Committees or other relevant committees is necessary.

Working Groups:

In the Winter of 1998, SC 14 was inactivated as a part of the ICC reorganization. All of its Working Groups were reassigned to the new Special Purpose Cables SC:
