Fall 2001 - ICC Awards

IEEE/PES Certificates of Appreciation will be presented to:

• Wiley J. Pickett (Deceased) for Services Rendered as Chair, Working Group C12, Guide for Distribution Cable Installation Methods in Duct Systems
• Thomas Rodenbaugh for Services Rendered as Chair, Working Group C13, Installation of Cables Using Trenchless Techniques

ICC Certificates of Appreciation will be presented to Ted Nishioka and Glen Bertini for the best presentation to Subcommittee A.

At the Opening Session the IEEE Power Engineering Society/Insulated Conductors Committee 2001 Distinguished Service Award was presented to Kent W. Brown.

IEEE Sections, Societies and Committees are invited to submit nominations for the 2003 IEEE Technical Field Awards.The deadline for the receipt of nominations is January 31, 2002.

All Technical Committees have been asked to propose candidates for the three new IEEE/PES Technical Council Awards:

• Technical Council Committee Service Award, given to an individual that has significantly contributed to a Committee's mission for 10 years or more.
• Technical Council Committee of the Year Award, awarded annually to the best committee within the PES.
• Technical Council Gold Award, given to young promising committee member that has been actively involved in a committee for less than four years.
