IEEE SA Awards

There are a number of awards given out by IEEE SA, not administered by the ICC.  Below are some of the awards that have been given to ICC Members over the years.

IEEE-SA Standards Medallion

From the IEEE Website:

The Standards Medallion is awarded for major contributions to the development of standards. Examples include but are not limited to the following:

• Leadership in standardization of new technologies
• Assuring achievement of standards development goals
• Identifying opportunities to better serve the needs of standards users
• Other contributions viewed as deserving of such recognition

In 2011, this award was given to Mr. John E. Merando.
The Award Citation reads: "For significant standards contributions to the Power & Energy Society Insulated Conductors Committee."
