Spring 2000 - Spouse's Tours

Welcome ladies to the 107th meeting of the ICC. We have two outstanding tours available for you with the details listed below. Do not forget that a complementary breakfast is also provided each morning beginning on Monday. We hope to see you in May.

Monday, May 15 (The Silver Factory and Albuquerque Tour) - $37.00 per person

The tour bus will pick up at 9:00am. The tour begins with a narrated drive through Albuquerque with answers to any questions you may have about the area. We will travel along the bosque of the Rio Grande, dip into Indian land and see a portion of historic route 66, the University of New Mexico campus and downtown area before arriving at Southwest Silver downtown. We will spend from 10:00 am to 11:00 am receiving an overview of how silver jewelry is made including time to browse and purchase at wholesale prices items Southwest has manufactured. We will then go to lunch at a nice local restaurant called "Portabello". Alcoholic beverages are available during lunch on a cash basis. After lunch the guide will distribute maps and give an orientation of the Plaza area in Old Town Albuquerque before setting folks out on their own to shop from approximately 1:30 to 3:00 PM. At 3:00 the group will meet again at a pre-designated location to return to the hotel.

Tuesday, May 16 (The Santa Fe Tour) - $26.00 per person

The tour bus will pick up at 9:00am. During the ride to Santa Fe the guide will tell about the history and culture of New Mexico. They will distribute a Santa Fe Plaza area map and will recommend restaurants, shops and museums. Once in Santa Fe there will be a walking tour of the plaza area including Loretto Chapel Museum. If you are not familiar with the legend behind the special staircase in the chapel, then you are in for a special treat! The tour will conclude at the Plaza and you will have from approximately 11:30am to 2:30pm to explore the Plaza shops and restaurants on your own. We will re-board the bus at 2:45 PM for the return ride back to Albuquerque.

Hope to see you soon.
