Re: 1997 Spring Meeting - April 20-23 - Scottsdale, AZ

Dear member or guest,

You are cordially invited to attend the next meeting of the Insulated Conductors Committee (ICC) which will be held on April 20-23, in Scottsdale, Arizona. The airport serving Scottsdale is Phoenix. The preliminary meeting schedule and other pertinent information are enclosed.

The meeting will be held at the Doubletree Paradise Valley Resort. The room rate will be $125, single or double. Please use the enclosed envelope to make your hotel reservation as soon as possible. You may also call (602) 947-5400 . The cut-off date for reservations is March 18, 1997. However, your deposit is fully refundable provided you cancel 72 hours before arrival. The ICC is committed to a minimum occupancy rate in order to receive the privilege of free meeting rooms. If possible, please use the official meeting hotel for your accommodations in order to help us fulfill the minimum occupancy requirements.

Special air fares and car rental rates have been negotiated, as follows:

Airline: Delta Air Lines is the official meeting air carrier. To take advantage of Deltaís special discount fare, call or have your travel agent call: 1-800-241-6760 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Eastern Time, and refer to File Number XR333.

Car Rental: AVIS has agreed to provide discounted rates. To obtain these rates, please call: 1-800-331-1600 and refer to the AWD number A606096. The applicable ICC rental rates are enclosed.

In filling in the meeting registration form, please note that the Sunday Reception and the Orientation Program are marked NC (no cost). Although these activities are non-paying, you are kindly requested to fill in the number of attendees, as this will help us plan and budget for the events. The Orientation Program is intended mainly for those who are attending the ICC meeting for the first time and also for those who wish to be re-acquainted with the workings of the ICC.

An organizational meeting to be attended by the Subcommittee and Work Group Chairmen will be held on Monday, April 21, from 7:00 to 7:45 am.

Please note that no room assignments are shown for the meetings. A final program with exact meeting locations will be available at the Registration Desk. The Subcommittee and Work Group Chairmen have been requested to post detailed information about the agendas of their meetings on a Poster Board located in the vicinity of the Registration Desk. For future meetings, we expect to post this and other information electronically through our ICC web Homepage which has been initiated by Kent Brown. More information regarding the Homepage will be communicated in Scottsdale.

The Ladiesí Program has been arranged by Mrs. Anne Tingley who will be available at the registration desk on Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 pm to provide additional information. A description of the planned program is enclosed.

A ìcasualî dress code, as during the past Fall meeting, will be effective at this meeting. I look forward to seeing you in Scottsdale.
