The 5th ICC
Newsletter is now available here! The ICC sends these Newsletters
periodically to communicate current committee events, information about upcoming
meetings, how the ICC functions, benefits the ICC brings to the electric utility
industry, development and maintenance of wire and cable and accessory standards
used in the industry and other topics of interest. We hope you will benefit from

Subcommittee G, The Transnational Luncheon, has posted a list of speakers and
topics for their Spring meeting here.
The transnational luncheon is always interesting, and a big draw. Remember
that you must register for the Transnational Luncheon.

April 12, 2014 - Spring 2014 Agenda Update
been updated today. This is nearly a final agenda, with only a few small
changes still expected. Please keep checking back for the final changes.
April 8, 2014 - New Subcommittee A Vice-Chair
Congratulations to Yingli Wen on being selected as the new Subcommittee A
Vice-chair. Yingli will be working with Mark Walton, Chair, to keep
Subcommittee A running smoothly and to develop interesting programs within the
topic area of Cable Construction and Design.
April 3, 2014 - New Recording Secretary
Many thanks and much appreciation is due to Mark Fenger for his eight years
serving as Recording Secretary. While we all realize the challenge of
balancing our participation in volunteer activities like the ICC with our work
responsibilities, most of us don't realize the vast amount of work that goes
into generating the minutes of each meeting. Mark has decided it is time
to relinquish that position to someone else, and as a result, please welcome our
new Recording Secretary, Carl Wentzel, who was elected by Adcom this past week.
Carl has big shoes to fill! Please give him your support.
March 12, 2014 - Spring 2014 Educational Session
The Educational Session for the Spring 2014 meeting will be on
"Sheath Bonding for Transmission and Distribution Cable Systems".
A list of presentations has been posted on the spring meeting
list. Make sure you plan to stay through Wednesday afternoon, and
remember to register for this session to get your CEU's!
March 11, 2014 - Spring 2014 ICC Meeting Hotel Details and Preliminary
It is now approximately 2 months (8 weeks) until the
Spring 2014 ICC Meeting
convenes at the Westin Kansas City at Crown Center Hotel, in Kansas City, MO!
The hotel room block is now open. Details are available on the
meeting page, including a link
to an online portal for making reservations.
preliminary agenda has
also been posted. This is the first version of the meeting schedule. As
such, it is very likely to change as conflicts and other issues are identified.
Typically, revisions are made at least once a month up until approximately two
weeks before the meeting. Please check the web site often to access the current
version of the agenda and identify any new conflicts that may arise as the
January 1, 2014 - New Officers
A new year brings new Officers to the ICC! This year we have a large
number of new officers. Congratulations to new ICC Chair and Thomas
Champion, and Vice Chair Frank Frentzas, who have moved up, as John Smith has
now moved to be our new Immediate Past Chair. We have a new Chair and Vice
chairs for Subcommittee D, Art
Maldonado and Doug DePriest respectively, for
Subcommittee G, Frank Petzold and Ed
Gulski, as well as for the Advisory Committee, Mike Smalley and Jeff Madden and
Educational Session, Peter Tirinzoni and Rachel Mosier.
Subcommittee A has a new Chair, Mark Walton, and
Subcommittee C has a new Vice
Chair, Michael Mueller.
